What a BRN identifies
Every broker practising in Dubai needs a professional practice card from RERA, issued through Trakheesi. The market calls the registration number on that card the BRN. It identifies the individual broker. The brokerage office they work for has a separate ORN.
How to check one
- DLD website or Dubai REST app: the licensed real estate brokers service lets anyone search licensed brokers.
- Trakheesi card verification: shows the broker's photo, name and office, and whether the card is verified.
Our guide walks through it step by step: how to verify a broker's BRN in Dubai.
On Nogbase
Developers see the brokerage and broker behind every EOI and reservation, so they know who they are setting up commission for.
Frequently asked questions
Is "BRN" an official DLD term?
DLD's pages refer to the broker's registration and practice card. "BRN" is the market's shorthand for that registration number.
How do I verify a BRN?
Search DLD's licensed real estate brokers service on dubailand.gov.ae or in the Dubai REST app, or verify the card on Trakheesi, which shows the broker's photo, name and office.
Why do developers ask for a BRN?
To confirm they are dealing with a licensed broker before they share commission terms or pay commission.
