What an ORN identifies
RERA licenses brokerage offices as well as individual brokers, and Trakheesi handles both broker practice cards and office registration. The office's registration number is the ORN. The brokers working there each hold a personal BRN.
Why developers care
In an off-plan launch, the developer's agreement and the commission are with the brokerage, not with the individual agent. The ORN is how a developer confirms which licensed company it is contracting with, and which agents belong to it.
On Nogbase
Developers grant access and set commission terms per brokerage, so each licensed office sees only its own terms.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an ORN and a BRN?
The ORN identifies the brokerage office, which is the company. The BRN identifies an individual broker's practice card.
Where do I find a brokerage's ORN?
It appears on the brokerage's licence and in its advertising. You can confirm the office through DLD's licensed brokerage offices service.
Why does it matter in off-plan sales?
Developers sign brokerage agreements with, and pay commission to, the licensed office. The ORN is how they identify the company they are contracting with.
